About Me
I'm a non-traditional student and I returned to The University of Southern Mississippi in Fall 2013. Since then I've obtained a Masters degree in Instructional Technology and I'm trying extremely hard to obtain my PhD in this program as well. Since I've been enrolled in both programs, I've learned various technology applications and designs. I've implemented many of them at my current job and also in other academic classes that were not related to this particular program. This program has truly infused my passion for technology and as I continue to work to complete this program, I'm encouraged to proceed and gain more theoretical knowledge based in the world of technology. Currently I am the Computer Lab Assistant/Test Administrator for a local elementary school in Hattiesburg Public School District. This position often times allows me the opportunity to demonstrate technology applications I've learned in the Instructional Technology programs. My short term goal includes obtaining a position within the district as an Instructional Technologist and an adjunct position in a post-secondary setting where I can teach adults about various applications in Instructional Technology. My long term goal is to someday be a college professor in the field of Instructional Technology. There’s an old saying that I use to hear all the time that I've found to be true…”If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it!” I don’t want to lose my skills! Here are a few components of the programs that I've been using quite frequently:
